Initial Review, 28,000 Miles on Tires
September 15, 2014
When shopping for tires I wanted: good gas mileage, good snow traction, low noise, good tred life. With the Prius, the gas mileage is so variable, its hard to know for sure what the difference in mileage is as compared to the OEM tires I replace - yet - it seems to not have been any different.
For snow, we had lots of snow last year (Wisconsin), but I actually did not encounter any real deep snow while out driving - so I'd say they did pretty good.
Road noise was fine until the most recent tire rotation. I now have a rythmic sound as the tire revolves. This could be tred - but I have 4000 miles since the tire rotation; it could be the rim, or brakes, or tire balancing.
